Hello!
When I (Laura) haven't updated something in a while, I have the tendency to want to 'start new' so I can try to start from scratch. I'd like to say this won't be the start of another blog that will just be left in the dust! Especially with all the changes going on in our lives right now, I'd like to be able to keep people updated. Regularly. On the SAME blog. We'll see how this goes...!
So, here's the gist of "our lives" right now:
*We are living in the basement of an older woman from our church.
*Jake is working full time at a dairy and sod farm.
*I'm working at a long term care facility for adults with developmental disabilities (casual status).
*We are leaving in January for a year-long term (potentially longer) in Kenya, Africa.
*Jake works with the youth group at our church.
*We are both very involved in various ministries at our church, and we have a passion for the Gospel.
*We have been married since March 1st, 2008. Looking forward to the years ahead together!
That's all for now. I'm not very good at "starting new blogs" because I hate how dry and silly the first entry always sounds. Hopefully we can keep you more updated about the exciting things (and even the not-so-exciting things, like what I'm cooking for dinner).
